LUSH haul & demo’s

I made a LUSH order on the 11th March, ages ago I know! I thought it would be a cool idea to do a haul. But then I thought why not include how they work and what I thought of them. Which is why it has taken me so long to write this, I had to use everything! Which is kind of annoying as some of the things were ‘leaving soon’ or ‘limited addition’ but I thought it would still be a fun little post!

Peachy – RVP £3.95

The website says: ‘Give the peach of your heart to someone you love this Valentine’s day. This cheeky number fizzes slowly in the bath, releasing bursts of juicy grapefruit, fresh peach juice and sweet davana to gently cleanse and refresh. Swoon over pink swirls of colour whirling around you in the water – it’s the perfect sweet treat after a fruity session.’

It’s definitely ‘peachy’, it smells lovely. It has some shimmer in it. This is limited addition as it was part of their valentines collection. Whether it is still on the website by the time I have used it I don’t know.

I loved the scent of this one! And so did anyone passing the bathroom while my bath was running and even a while after it had finished. I’m not usually the biggest peach fan but this was so subtle and sweet I loved it. It had no glitter, although in the picture it looks like it would have. It was super moisturising and left my skin feeling great.

Goddess – RVP £5.95

The website says: ‘Heavenly scent, jasmine absolute seduces you into lilac and silver waters, while the darkness of oudh and the richness of sandalwood keep you there, lingering a little longer. Precious ingredients for a true goddess, lifting your mind to a higher plane.

As each layer unfolds and sodium bicarbonate sends colours swirling, something divine happens to your body. Feel your muscles warming, feel your blood pumping, feel your strength.

Legend says Cleopatra bathed in milk, but a true goddess bathes in butters. Fair Trade Colombian cocoa butter and shea butter melt into creamy waters, then a skin-softening slick of liquid gold argan oil, a holy trinity of moisturisation. Behind the shea and argan, are stories of empowered women’s groups in Ghana and Morocco. Not age-old legends of celestial beings, but real stories from Planet Earth of building communities and defending the natural world.

Do you believe God is a woman?’

This is new. It’s veeeery strongly scented. The glitter on this is absolutely stunning, I wanted to rub this all over my body when I picked it up. This is the first one I smelt that I thought, gosh maybe if I’d smelt it first I wouldn’t have bought it. Which I find is the only problem I come across with LUSH online. I know it describes the scent but I don’t know them off the top of my head. The stunning glitter in this one makes it so worth it and you never know I might like the smell in a bath!

As expected this bath was incredibly glittery and it was stunning, I love it when I get out of the bath and my skin is sparkling like some sort of Edward Cullen in the sun scene from Twilight. It was amazing. In all honesty, I really enjoyed the scent to. When it was actually in the bath it wasn’t too strong at all, it was really nice. My skin felt suuuper soft and hydrated after this. I paired this with the GRL PWR bubble bar.

Aubergine – RVP £3.95

The website says: ‘Because sometimes words just aren’t enough. After swiping right, the easiest way to express our feelings is with the power of an emoji. When you need something that really hits the spot, pop this bath bomb into the water and enjoy a steamy soak with uplifting bergamot, fruity ho wood and saucy litsea cubeba. This tongue in cheek product shoots green and blue foam from both ends so you can give someone the gift of a fast fizzing tip this Valentine’s Day.’

This one is limited addition for valentines day just like peachy. I really like the marketing LUSH used for these in all honesty. They’re so cute. Like peachy this has slight glitter in it. I really really loved the smell of this one!!

I really do wish that this was not limited addition, I might have to go back online and buy in bulk before it is gone for good. It’s incredible, it made the water stunning and my skin was again sparkling. The smell is something else and this really did put on a show as it fizzled away in the bath. I love it!! I paired this with the Flowering Tea bubble bar.

GRL PWR – RVP £5.95

The website says: ‘After a long day of running the world, what you really need is to sink into a relaxing bath with scents of ylang ylang and cedarwood to balance your busy mind and reflect on your wins. Bergamot uplifts as benzoin resinoid comforts, helping you power up for another day. You’ll find a rainbow in every storm with the soothing fizz and foam of this pin style bubble bar.’

I adore a LUSH bubble bar. They are the main reason I wanted to do a LUSH shop. I find no other bubble baths give the quantity and quality of bubbles that they do. This is another limited addition one. This bubble bar isn’t the sweetest of scents and I think I have established that they are my favourite type of scent. This bubble bar will go well with the Goddess and Aubergine bombs I think.

5

I mean, it was nice. I use a small amount and pop it in a strainer and put that under the running hot water. I think it’s the scent letting this one down, I think it’d would be a lot better for me with a different scent. Other than that is a great lush bubble bar and I love them. I will obviously continue to use this until it’s all gone because I still love the bubbles!

The Comforter – RVP £5.25

The website says: ‘Sometimes you just need to shut yourself off from the outside world under a blanket of fruity foam that will put you back in the right frame of mind to face the world. This bar is supersized, so you’ll only need to crumble half a bar under your tap to make enough bubbles for a long, comforting soak. Cassis absolute gives a distinctive blackcurrant fragrance, while bergamot adds an uplifting note.’

I LOVE this bubble bar. It is and I think it always will be my literal favourite bubble bar ever.  I will not go in to a LUSH or do an online shop without this in my basket I love it that much. It’s like a Ribena bath and I love it.

6

Like I said I love this bubble bar and using it this time around was so different. It’s one of my favourite LUSH products and I don’t think that will ever change. I used it this time with Peachy but I don’t think I need anything with it usually. It smells so good alone and makes the bath lovely and pink!

Flowering Tea – RVP £7.50

The website says: ‘If fragrant, petal-filled baths are your cup of tea, look no further! Hold this reusable bubble bar under running water to release the beneficial blend. Clamber in to stew in a hot, floral brew with uplifting neroli and rosewood oils and allow your mind to drift. Turn your bath into a giant tea cup as you float amongst the exotic blue cornflowers, sunny orange flower absolute and rich rosewood, helping you tap into that inner calm.’

This has torn me. Every time I have done a LUSH online shop (as this is an online exclusive) I always see this and want it. But I put it off as it is kind of expensive for a bubble bar. That expense comes from the fact that it is reusable. If I was able to smell this, I don’t think I would have bought it. It’s strong and floral and you’ll read the description and be like ‘well yeah?’ but I wanted to try it and I’m not so sure. Maybe I’ll love it, well see. I mean anything that’s claiming to make me calm I’ll give a go!

3

I think that I am the same with this one as I was with the GRL PWR one. Although I do prefer the scent on this one.  I just dunked this one under running water for a couple of minutes and it gave an incredible amount of bubbles. I didn’t get any flowers out of it this time but I think with continual use they will start appearing. It makes the bath go cloudy and you can tell that’s what’s moisturising in the bath.

Herbalism – £8.50

The website says: ‘Nettles, rosemary and rice bran vinegar work to cleanse the skin, removing dirt and grease, leaving bright and beautifully clean skin. Chamomile blue oil and rose absolute are used for balancing skin tone. Rice bran and ground almonds will gently exfoliate the skin and when mixed with water, the almonds create a soft cleansing milk. Our chlorophyllin is extracted from alfalfa, which is rich in vitamins and minerals and is great for revitalising the skin.’

I’ve been trying my best to have some good skin care. I am really trying to get a routine up and running. I have at the moment a cleanser that’s kind of a scrub but a little different and that is on the verge of running out so I thought I’d pick up a LUSH one while being on their site. This smells to me like mint sauce, which is weird as there is no mint in this at all. It looks very similar to the Mask of Magnaminty, but it obviously is very different. I am looking forward to giving this a go because I have high hopes and expectations for LUSH skin care as I adore their masks, so please don’t let me down.

I do like this. It’s different, but not bad. It definitely makes my skin feel great and I have been having good skin days since using it so I have no complaints. It is a little messy though. It’s like of like a powder consistency that you put under warm water to create a paste, so bits do fall and you have to make sure you’ve combined it, but yeah I like this!

American Cream – £25.00

The website says: ‘A whipped up, melt-in-your-mouth vanilla perfume with a hint of strawberry. This gourmand concoction folds hypnotic clary sage and velvety benzoin into a rich and saucy fragrance that’ll have you hooked. Beneath subtle floral notes, silky vanilla, both comforting and sensuous at once, draws you irrevocably past the point of no return.’

Why didn’t I realise it was £25?! For some reason I thought it was £16?! Anyway, I was intrigued by a LUSH perfume and really wanted to give them a go. I really like this. It’s kind of like the snow fairy scent they have at Christmas, which I LOVE. The only thing is I get a slight whiff of play dough, but I really don’t mind that.

11

I do like this, I’ve used it a couple of times since buying it. It’s sweet and I love sweet. The play dough scent is definitely there, but I don’t see it as a big problem. This is definitely a perfume that sticks around and you can smell it through out the night.

So there you have it, my LUSH haul. I really do love LUSH products and it’s nice to treat myself with them every once in a while!

What are your favourite LUSH products?
