In September of last year Ieuan and I took a trip to Sheffield and then Manchester. The purpose of this trip was to see Ariana Grande in concert at Sheffield Arena. Ariana has been one of my idols since she was Cat Valentine in Victorious so this was a BIG deal for me.
We travelled up on the 18th September and arrived in our hotel that was just around the corner from the arena so it was great. We had food booked in Chiquitos so when we arrived we got ready to go there. This was about a 10 minute walk from our hotel.
We really enjoyed the food, we both had fajitas and I had churros for pudding, Ieuan had cheesecake. After this we had booked to go and see the new IT2 film in the cinema but Ieuan wasn’t feeling very well with a cough and cold so we didn’t think the cinema was the best place for us. So it was either bowling or adventure golf.
We chose adventure golf, it was really fun and although I was crap we both enjoyed a lot.
The next day, we had an escape room booked, if you have been keeping up with me a while you might know Ieuan and I love them! This one was called ‘The Escape Game’. It was really good, the staff got into character and everything. Ieu and I even escaped!! It was a really lovely day so we spent most of it walking around in the sun until it was time to go home and get ready for Ariana!
I was super excited. I had my outfit planned for months, I got my top and trousers from Shein and my trainers (comfort over anything) from Boohoo. Admitedly, Ieuan was not as excited as I was.. I wonder why.. Don’t worry, he gets his reward later on!
Ariana was amazing. I didn’t take many pictures or videos of the concert because I was just so in awe of being there and watching her. I really appreciate Ieuan giving me the opportunity to go to these things, even though he’s not a fan. As I was a little anxious I decided to get a bottle of water for the night, while Ieu enjoyed some beers.
All too quickly the night was over, and we went back to the hotel. I was so grateful that it was so close after a long night of standing.
The next day we were up and out relatively early as we were going to Manchester. This is where Ieuan’s reward comes in. I had bought him an Old Trafford tour. He’s a huge Manchester United fan so it’s something he’s always wanted to do and I could help that happen! I really enjoyed the tour myself as a non-football fanatic.
After this we made our way home back to Pembrokeshire.
