Ok so I’ve been crap again keeping you all updated with my bakes and stuff! I find it so hard to keep track as I just seem to get so into the baking when I’m doing it and forget to keep a log for my blog! If you’d like to know what I baked recently (last bakes of 2018) then keep reading!
Remember if you would like to keep up with my recent bakes then I upload to my baking insta regularly ( @bethymbakes ) !!
Coconut Cupcakes
I had an afternoon free so decided to make some cupcakes. Not my prettiest of bakes. I wanted to try out my new food colouring so that’s why the icing is a funny colour.
These are just basic coconut cakes, basic vanilla icing and topped with desiccated coconut. One of my favourite flavours I think!
Mini Mouse theme cake
Another one of my friends had her birthday and I made her a cake.
Chocolate cake, white chocolate icing topped with Jammy Dodgers and some fondant mini mice (made by me) and fondant balls around the bottom.
Chocolate explosion cake
Next was my little sister Gwen’s birthday cake! She didn’t know I was making her one as I had told her I would not be. She was absolutely thrilled when I showed this to her!
Chocolate cake, cookies n cream icing, chocolate drip, topped with all things Dairy Milk chocolate (and some magic stars).
Prosecco cake
I then was asked by a family friend to make his wife a Prosecco cake for her birthday. This was my first attempt at this flavour and I had a few difficulties along the way but I think she was extremely happy with the outcome.
Prosecco cake, prosecco icing, strawberry jam, mini bottle of prosecco, chocolate covered strawberries, chocolate shards, edible flowers, mini meringues and heart chocolates. Of course covered in edible pink glitter!
Chocolate Orange cake
Last big cake of the year was this chocolate orange cake. Super happy with how this came out!
Chocolate cake, chocolate orange icing, chocolate drip, topped with Terry’s Chocolate orange, mini chocolate orange, jaffa cakes and gold balls. Of course covered in edible gold glitter!
Cookie topped cupcakes
My last cupcakes and cookies of the year created these! It’s my sister’s boyfriends birthday and she asked me to make him some cupcakes. So I had to of course go all out for him!
Chocolate cupcakes, white chocolate icing, topped with a white chocolate chip cookie.
I hope you enjoyed reading my recent bakes. Again I am so sorry for being bad at blogging recipes!
If you would like any of the above recipes to make them yourself then please get in contact with me and I will happily provide you with them!
I look forward to the baking challenges that 2019 has to offer me!
