I know that this tag has been and gone, I think it was circulating last year, and no one has actually tagged me to do it BUT I really want to do a blog post on my tattoos so here we are! If you’d like to learn a little more about me and my tattoos then keep reading!
How many tattoos do you have?
I have 3 tattoos (at the moment). A tiny heart on my ankle, the quote ‘Not all who wander are lost’ on my ribs and a wolf with flowers on my thigh.
What is your favourite tattoo?
I love all my tattoos SO much but I think my wolf on my thigh is my favourite. It’s my most recent one and the one I spent years planning. It’s in honour of all of my family members so I think that’s why it’s my favourite. Not to mention how AMAZING it actually is. My tattoo artist was incredible (check out her insta @cammydeadleaves) and it turned out so much better than I could have ever imagined it would have.
How old were you when you got your first tattoo?
I was 18 when I got my first tattoo – the heart on my ankle. It matches my best friend. We went without telling our parents for a spontaneous matching tattoo before she moved away to university to show that even though we were going to be apart we’d still be with each other.
What do your parent’s think about your tattoos?
My parents have no say in the matter when it comes to tattoos as they have their own. They were a little angry when I got one without telling them but when they saw how small it was they didn’t mind. My dad has actually been a big part of my second and third tattoo. My second one actually matches one of his although his is in elvish.
Did you always have a love for tattoos?
I don’t think I did looking back. I used to really enjoy watching Miami Ink with my sister and my dad but I don’t think that ever made me desperate for one. I wasn’t a young kid always wanting tattoos. I turned 18 and that’s when I knew I wanted some though!
What was your inspiration?
Probably my dad in some aspects. I love that we have matching tattoos. I did used to give imput on my dads designs and be really excited to see how they turned out. I also just loved looking at tattoos on instagram. I knew when I started getting tattoos I wanted them to mean something to me and that’s where the inspiration came from really.
Do you plan on getting more tattoos in the future?
I definitely do. I’m not sure what will be next but I know that there will be a next time. I really enjoy researching a lot before I commit to a design though so even if I want a new one it could be a long time coming.
Which tattoo was the most painful?
I surprised myself when it came to getting tattoos I was absolutely terrified for the pain but I was actually fine! The most painful one was probably my rib tattoo, I’d give it a 7/10 and parts of my thigh tattoo matched that level of pain but overall for that it was a 5.5/10.
Do you regret any of your tattoos?
Nope and I don’t think I ever will because they all have such strong meanings to me.
What was your least painful tattoo?
My ankle tattoo lasted about a minute so that’s definitely my least painful, about a 4/10 for pain.
So that’s my late to the party tattoo tag. If anyone sees this and wants to do it themselves go for it and let me know! I love reading about and seeing other people’s tattoos! Thanks for reading and learning a little bit more about me!
