My recent bakes #3

Here we are again.. I think unless it’s a really super simple and not under time and pressure bake then I am going to give up the promise of a blog post on it. But like I have always said if any of my bakes interest you and you want to give them a go yourself then let me know and I’ll happily provide you with the information!

Jaffa(cup)cakes

Basic vanilla cakes, chocolate orange buttercream, jaffacakes, some orange white chocolate drizzle and some glitter.

Ferrero Rocher Cupcakes

Chocolate cupcakes, nutella buttercream, a ferrero rocher and some glitter.

Bubblegum Cupcakes

Vanilla cupcakes with some pink and some blue, bubblegum buttercream and fizzy bubblegum bottles.

95th Lemon Cake

Lemon cake with buttercream and lemon curd, topped with edible flowers and butterflies.

Galaxy chocolate, salted caramel brownies

Chocolate brownies with galaxy chocolate, homemade salted caramel and galaxy caramel pieces. The recipe for these I have already posted a blog on – https://beththanperfect.com/2018/05/13/double-chocolate-salted-caramel-brownies/ but instead of any chocolate you use galaxy and instead of chocolate chips I chopped up half a galaxy bar. I also froze some galaxy caramel and popped them on top before baking like I did with the kinder chocolate in my kinder brownies.

White Chocolate & Raspberry Drip Cake

Vanilla cake with white chocolate buttercream and raspberry jam, white chocolate drip, strawberries, raspberries, edible flowers, edible pearls and white chocolate shavings.

Ferrero Rocher Drip Cake

Chocolate cake, nutella buttercream, milk chocolate drip, hazelnuts and Ferrero rocher.

Classic Victoria Sponge Cake

Exactly what it says above, a classic Victoria sponge cake with raspberry jam for my mums birthday! Made this with my little sister, Gwen. Well actually she made it with my help, and she was so proud of it. I was a little disappointed, I had decided to use one of my push out bottom cake tins. It’s big enough to fit all the cake mix in, but I have found every time I use it the rise on the cake is minimal, and this time was no different. I think I’ll stick to separate tins for each layer in future.

Chocolate Drip Cake with Reece’s Pieces and a little doggy topper

A classic chocolate cake, chocolate buttercream, with a milk chocolate drip, topped with Reece’s pieces and a little figure to match a loved family pet.

Boozy Victoria Sponge

A victoria sponge cake with it’s sponge and buttercream spiked with Jack Daniels, milk chocolate drip, topped with Jack Daniels mini bottle, Jack Daniels shot glass, Galaxy cookie crumble, Galaxy minstrels, Reece’s pieces, crispy m&m’s, malteasers, oreos and edible glitter.
